Okay, I HAVE to ask........what EXACTLY is geocaching? Because I thought it was looking for those round rocks that when cut open, have pretty crystal deposits inside......am I wrong? At night??? I must be wrong because my friends in Arizona go out in the desert looking for them.....
Please clear this up for me Art because I may have joined the wrong group for my daughter and I........
Thank you, Deana

Announcing a new event for Geocaching San Diego!
What: UCSD at Night Caching - "The Forbidden Forest"
When: Saturday, August 11, 9:00 PM
Where: (A location for this event hasn't been chosen yet)
Event Description: This is a tentative date and time. It is bound to change, but hopefully not much. If
more people prefer Friday night, we might be able to change it. You think we should go later? We can do that too. Maybe 10 is better. Let me know. The more people that can make it, the better.
Thanks much to Mary Ann (aka Goblin Girl) for this great idea. We will be searching for the cache called "The Forbidden Forest" (cache GCME1Z) which is within UCSD compounds. It apparently can be found only at night when it's very dark. Hence the late time. I think this will be a lot of fun. Read more about the cache at the geocaching.com web site:
You might need to be a member to view the details above. If you aren't, email me and I'll send you info.
Parking at N[masked] W117
Not sure where that is? Check here:
Again, if you don't have a GPS, don't worry. There will be enough of us that do.
New to geocaching? No problem! We welcome newbies. I'm a newbie myself.
