The best spring skiing weekend in New England! Lower lift ticket costs PLUS live Reggae music outside the Main Base Lodge all weekend. Awesomeness! Mount Snow got 70+ inches of snowfall this winter and there are a few more snowstorms predicted. Should be great spring skiing! (Apologies if you are not a snow bunny; this has been a rough winter for you I know.)
It's the weekend of the Mount Snow Reggaefest, so live bands outside on the deck all day and a concert at the Snow Barn Saturday night. Concert tickets will be extra, book these on your own at mountsnow.com. Sunday is the "Sink or Swim" Pond Skim and the Duct Tape Derby (cardboard sleds) if you're feeling adventurous!
The cost for a two day lift ticket is $78. Your spot is only confirmed with payment.
Two day equipment rental: $68, and there's a discount if you purchase the rentals in advance! If you need a rental, you'll want to buy ahead of time here:
If you need a lesson, you can find out more about them (and how to book them) here:
We'll stay at my family's ski house in southern Vermont, about 30-45 minutes from the mountain. The house sleeps 13...cozily....and we'll need 16 for the group rate. Bring your sleeping bag and an air mattress if you'd like! Twin sized preferred for space considerations...
The house has a full kitchen, so we can cook our own breakfasts and pack our own lunches if we want, with the possibility of cooking your own dinner if you'd rather not go to the concert on Saturday night. There is a grocery store in town and a great local market on the way home from the mountain. There's also a teevee and a DVD player--teevee has no channels though, too rural for digital service.
If anybody would like to have a little more privacy, I can coordinate lodging as well, shoot me an email if you're interested and whether you're interested in double or quad lodging. And you'll still be able to get in at the group rate!
If you can take off at noon on Friday, you'll find traffic a bit lighter. The house is in rural southern Vermont; expect the trip to take about 6 hours, 7 if you leave after 5 pm. I'll send out directions before the event; the address only seems to show up on GPSes half the time, and cell phone service by the house appears to be non-existent....there is a land line at the house though, so I'll send out that number as well. We can experiment with two-way radios.
Note: The directions that Meetup will give you from this page will get you to the mountain, not the house.

Note that some trails may be closed because it's so late in the season...but the mountain makes snow as long as the weather holds out. Last year for Reggaefest the snow was AMAZING!
