MEDITATION STARTS PROMPTLY AT 7:05.

This is a weekly event offering an opportunity to gather, connect and practice the principles of Nonviolent Communication developed by Marshall Rosenberg within a container of mindfulness. No experience is necessary but familiarity with NVC theory is helpful to participate. Reading "Nonviolent Communication, A Language of Life" by Marshall Rosenberg is highly recommended.

An offering basket is placed out to support Aaron in managing expenses. $10-$20 is the requested amount. No one is turned away for lack of funds.

The group starts with a 10-minute meditation, followed by opportunities for all members to check in and then participate in deeper work. Formal exercises and creative activities may also be a part of the group on any night. Mindfulness of thoughts, emotions and needs is emphasized as an important foundation for the practice.

NVC is about authenticity and authenticity can be uncomfortable and scary. This is sometimes a component of the work as well.
