This class is a 1-night workshop running from 7:00-9:00pm. This is an Intermediate level class and GDI's Intro to Python class or basic working knowledge of Python is recommended.

Pandas is a free, open-source python library all about working with data. Pandas is extremely fast, extremely intuitive, and is friendly to both programming and statistical objectives. It is used in many offices every day and makes data-related tasks a lot easier.

If you enjoy working with data and are passionate about Python, this is the class for you!

Prerequisites
Working knowledge of Python and working knowledge of how to install new python packages on their system.

Tech requirements:

Bring a laptop and charger. (Note: A netbook or tablet is NOT a substitute.)

If you are able to, please install Python3, Pandas, and Jupyter ahead of time.

About the Instructor
Laura Yu is a data scientist at AppNexus where she works on problems like fighting online fraud and website categorization. She joined the data science team as an internal transfer after learning to code through working with colleagues and lots of googling. Outside of work, Laura enjoys playing soccer and practicing her dog training skills with her two pups.
