Let's get money out of politics!

In the November 2012 Election, Common Cause, the State PIRGs, and others placed questions on several state and local ballots allowing voters to instruct Congress to overturn Citizens Untied with a constitutional amendment. We won in all of the places we put it on the ballot!

Let's keep the momentum going strong past 2012. In the May 2013 Mayoral Election, we have a chance to allow LA Voters to weigh in. Let's get the city council to put it on the ballot!

WHEN: Wednesday, January 16th from 10am - end of council meeting

LOCATION: LA City Hall. 200 North Spring Street, Los Angeles, CA. Enter through the east side of the building and be prepared to pass through a metal detector and show your ID. You will be going to council chambers, Room 340.

Do you think that changing leadership in Washington will have an impact on setting policy to address global warming? Then let's get money out of politics, because everything starts there!
