(M) East Fork to Spoonaugher

Meet at the trailhead at 10am.
Starting from the Walhalla Fish Hatchery, we will hike the East Fork Trail and along the Chattooga River down to Spoonaugher Falls and then back. We will pass through the lush East Fork Gorge into the Ellicott Rock Wilderness area that provides a backdrop for all but the start and finish of this trail. We will even spend a few moments at the beach. Spoonaugher Falls is a beautiful 50ft waterfall that runs down a stepped rock face in a broad sheet.
The trailhead is at the Chattooga Picnic area adjacent to the Walhalla Fish Hatchery, location address 198 Fish Hatchery Road Hwy 107N, Mountain Rest, SC 29644.
There will not be a carpool organized. If you wish to arrange a carpool separately, please use the comments section.

A suggested location is the Publix at University Square on Old Buncombe Rd.
