Hello all,

Big update today. We're moving our meetup day. Our VoteIt has spoken and we are now meeting the second Thursday of each Month. That means our next meeting is this coming Thursday, April 12th. And we've got a great presentation for you.

Eric Normand is presenting an 'Introduction to World Domination using Haskell'

"Learn the basics of Haskell and get an inside look at what it's like to build a commercial product with it.
By the end of the talk, you will be able to:

  • Build your own Haskell fortress (dev environment) from which to launch world-domination plans
  • Forge Haskell programs with your bare hands
  • Navigate the (sometimes) treacherous Haskell internet community
  • Enslave the type system to do your bidding
  • Impress your friends with Monads

Eric Normand is a Haskell developer at Scrive ( He was new to the language when he started 18 months ago and has learned a lot along the way. Learn from his mistakes or brave the language at your own peril!"

Also, on Monday the 9th Golden G. Richard of  is presenting an "Introduction to Digitial Forensics" at the Entergy Building during lunch. Here's the details on that:

"Introduction to Digital Forensics by Golden G. Richard III
