Hey guys, here's some info from Rachel about next steps and ways you can help Ride. Thanks to everyone for coming out!
I wanted to send details about how you and the GNO Code folks can help in pressing the RTA to get their feed back up. There are a few different ways:
- Write an email to the Veolia CEO, COO and RTA Board of Directors. Their email addresses are:
CEO - Justin Augustine - firstname.lastname@example.org,
COO - Derrick Breun - email@example.com
RTA Board of Commissioners - firstname.lastname@example.org
- Attend the RTA Board Meeting - Tuesday, November 13 at 10am. Public comments are not accepted until the end of the meeting so if you arrive by 11am you should still be able to give public comment.
Replace this text with the first item of your list
- Whether you email or give public comment, be sure to congratulate the RTA in opening their data and explain the many ways that open transit data benefits both the agency and riders. Note that the real-time data feed has been down for several weeks and that there does not appear to be a solution in sight to restoring the public's access to the feed. State your support for the quick restoration of the feed and the importance of maintaining access to current data in order for their open data program to be successful.
