Confluence Musikfest 2018: Bach's Goldberg Variations and more!
Hello everyone, I would like to invite you to join me at this special concert - by candlelight, no less - being held in St. Anna-Kapelle as part of the 'Confluence' music festival: http://www.confluence-zurich.ch/4-mai-2018 The concert will include some choral singing by the 'Zürcher Vokalisten' - performing works by Johannes Brahms, Camille Saint-Säens and Einojuhani Rautavaara - and a special performance of Bach's Goldberg Variations by a string trio. Tickets for this concert - and indeed the other concerts of the festival - can be purchased online: http://www.confluence-zurich.ch/tickets-bestellen-3 As the chapel is quite small and the number of places is therefore limited, it is advisable to purchase your tickets in advance if you wish to attend! I have already purchased my ticket, which is in the third row on the right-hand side. There are (still) free seats in that area if you would like to sit there - and perhaps then the group can at least be close together! I suggest meeting shortly before the concert - at 7.45 - at the church entrance. There will be an interval, during which we can chat and enjoy free drinks, and then, at the end, we can go for a drink and a chat somewhere else if you're interested! Hope to see some of you then!

    What we're about

    Public Group

This group is aimed at those of you who enjoy listening to live classical music, whether it be in a concert hall (e.g. Tonhalle), an opera house (e.g. Opernhaus Zürich) or a church, but don't quite fancy attending concerts alone - the thing is, you're not alone! :-) Zürich is a great place to experience live classical music and we're here to make the most of it! We endeavour to inform you about concerts taking place, and hope to have the opportunity to meet you at them - that is the whole idea behind Meetup, after all - and are also open to suggestions from you! Once a concert is posted and you wish to attend, you can choose and buy your own tickets to match where you want to sit and how much you wish to pay. Contrary to what people might think, it's not always expensive to attend a classical music concert in Zürich - prices usually range from CHF 25 upwards, which is really not bad for the high quality sound and experience you get.

Looking forward to sharing wonderful musical experiences with you!
