SWCP....Portreach to Hayle

Another Long day out particularly on bus journeys.
We set off from camp at 08.15 walking to Trevells, old post office.
8.36am bus 87 to Threemile stone, Glenthorne road at 09.04
09.09 am bus 14 to Redruth rail station.
09.36 am bus 49 to Portreath at 10.05 am

Today's hike is classed as Moderate and is 11.7miles (18.8km) long.
After leaving Portreach the path follows cliff with some beatiful views of rocky coves, such as Ralph's Cupboard, apparently a favoured smugglers spot for stashing loot!
After a couple of steep climbs the path levels out and walking becomes fairly straight foward.

We finish today in Hayle, the bus stop is at the war memorial.
17.16 pm Bus 18 to Threemilestone, Glenthorne road 18.34 pm
18.43 pm Bus 87 to the old post office Trevellas, 19.06
Walk back to the camp site 19.30

Participants will need packed lunch and at least 2 litres of fluids, rain and wind proofs, good fitting boots, sun hat, sun glasses and lotion. Personal medication. Participants are responsible for their own health and well being and should be able to keep up and not forge ahead of the leader.
We walk at about 2mph / 4kmph.
