Top Golf
• What we'll do Our first 2019 golf event will be Sunday, February 24th at Top Golf. Note: you will not be able to sign up for this event until Feb 10th. For those of you who do not know about Top Golf, let me start by saying - the temperature is 35 degrees warmer than the actual weather! It is like an outdoor driving range but one that is so well heated that in the dead of winter we often play in just regular golf clothes and wearing a cap. In fact, the cap is there to make sure your scalp doesn’t get too hot. Each game costs seven dollars and provides 20 balls. We take turns hitting the five balls at a time. Each ball has a computer chip in it that tells us where the ball landed. We aim at targets anywhere from 25 yards to 180 yards away. If we hit close enough to the target, we get points — the closer you get, the more points you get. It’s a whole lot of fun and it keeps our games really sharp. It’s not like going to the driving range — here, we’re playing for real and each ball counts so everyone is at their sharpest. They also serve food and drinks (liquor too!) right to the station(s) where we are playing. There are is no meet-up fee for these events - just RSVP and then come out and play. We will do Top Golf every other Sunday from February to about April. See you there!! • What to bring Your golf clubs. Dress in layers that you can peel off. • Important to know

    What we're about

Hi and Welcome! All levels of golfer, from beginner to advanced, are welcome. You will need these basic skills to golf with us: (a) able to hit off tee at least 60 yards consistently (b) able to hit it off the ground consistently (without missing often) at least 40 yards; some knowledge of how to hit a chip and pitch shot. If you are NOT skilled enough to play with us, please take some lessons, then join us. You can take from a pro (see options, in "Files" on site). "Files" section also has free written lessons. We meet up about bi-monthly to golf and socialize. You can attend one of our meetups, put out an email to the group seeking members interested in playing. We golf all over — north, west and south suburbs, and we always golf near a highway to make it convenient. Questions? Email me, Blake, via this website. Members can also call me at 847/966-8806.
