  • Golf Braemar on July 4--Patriotic Attire Encouraged!

    Braemar Golf Course

    $2.00

Braemar's championship 18 course has just reopened after 2 years of renovation. It's among Golf Digest's Top 75 courses in the country. So, let's give it a test drive on the 4th of July. Cost is $70.50 for 18 holes with riding cart and free range balls to warm up. Since it's a holiday and some will be out of town or have other plans, I'm keeping the group relatively small. I've reserved 4 tee times for up to 16 golfers starting at noon. That's early enough to catch fireworks later. Deadline to sign up is noon on July 1. If we don't fill the tee times, I'll drop tee times accordingly after that time. So, sign up and let's golf in honor of Independence Day! There is a $2.00 non-refundable per event fee that you will be prompted to pay when you RSVP. This helps fund the annual costs of maintaining this meetup and if organizers have to cover a round if someone's a no-show.

  • Dwan in Bloomington

    Dwan Golf Club

    $2.00

Let's golf Dwan on Saturday June 1st. We have 4 tee times starting at noon. The cost for 18 holes is $33 walking and $49 with a riding cart. If you want to join us on this very playable, fun course then sign up. After golf, we can head to Cowboy Jacks in Bloomington near Southtown Mall for dinner. Starting with this event, there will be a $2 non-refundable per event reservation fee. This helps us discourage no shows, which depending on the course, may have to be funded by the organizer (me, in this case). It also helps fund the annual cost for having this site on meetup. This fee does not go toward your green fees. You will pay that in the clubhouse before your round. If you sign up and need to cancel, do so before Thursday, May 30 at noon when the reservations close. I'll send out tee times and pairings Thursday night.

  • Golf & Graze or Hack & Snack

    Highland National Golf Course

This is a great opportunity for those of you who are just starting to golf or who need a warm up session. We will be golfing Highland National's executive 9-hole course and it only takes 2 hours to complete the course. (It is across the street from the 18-hole golf course.) You don't have to count your strokes, you don't have to even tee off if you don't want to. Just come out, have some fun and laughs with people who may or may not keep score. Who may pull a "foot wedge" out of their bag or who may just pick up their ball and place it next to the person who drove the ball the furthest. This event is all about having some fun, laughs and getting out there to hit that "little 'ole white ball." (Or an orange or even a pink one. No one will care.) Afterwards the laughter will continue at a local watering hole. Cost $15 to walk 9 holes; and if you are 62 or older the cost is $26 for 9 holes and a cart. Tee times & Pairing: 5:04 p.m. Carol B, Darren J, Pete C, Mary S (aka Pete) 5:12 p.m. Ann & Terry D, Sue M. Mark

Cancellation policy: 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23rd. See below for more information on cancellation policy. New for this year is that group sizes may be smaller and after this event there will be a $2 reservation fee attached to all events where you don't pay the golf course in advance. So that means Stonebrooke is exempt from the new reservation fee. Also new for this year is that we will be keeping track of no shows and cancellations. After 3 no-shows the individual will be removed from the group.
