Hi everyone,

we're going to try something different this time, and split the group into two: Beginners and Advanced. This meetup will be for the Advanced group, and the next one will be for the Beginners.

This advanced meetup is inspired by a Code Retreat I attended in Virginia last month. We'll split up into pairs, and start working on a kata using TDD and pair programming. After 45 minutes, we'll throw away our code, switch partners, and start over. The goal is not to finish the kata, but to try different approaches and learn from it.

Everyone who feels they belong in the Advanced group are welcome! You don't have to be a super expert, but you should definitely be comfortable working in Ruby. If you want to go to the Beginners' meetup, then you probably shouldn't go to the Advanced meetup. However, people from the Advanced group are encouraged to attend the Beginners' group as mentors.

This split may be a bit controversial, but consider it an experiment. We'll definitely keep the normal meetups as well, open to everyone as usual.

Also, please note that this meetup is at 18:30 instead of the normal time, to give people a chance to eat before, as there will be no food or beer provided this time.

Let me know if you have any questions!

/ CJ
