NYC Sass: News and Updates October 2012

From: Claudina S.
Sent on: Saturday, November 10, 2012 5:53 PM

Hello to our Awesome NYC Sass Members!

Hope everyone is doing okay after Superstorm Sandy. It is easy to get back into the pace of life, if we have power, heat, and water, but there are still many residents of NYC and the surronding areas that are still suffering. We don't charge for our events because we believe it is important to provide a monthly event where eager, innovators can come learn and connect. This month we kindly ask that you consider a small donation. All proceeds will be given to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

We want to be respectful of our members, but we'd like to find a way to promote good positions, positions where you will be able to do cool things, like use Sass. We are going to try a new program where we open up the floor at the end of the meetup for any job announcements. Please contact NYC Sass organizers in advance for approval. You need to get approval from an organizer beforehand.

We are always looking for presenters. If you'd like to present, you can now easily submit your presentation ideas at http://bit.ly/present-at-nycsass. If there's something you are dying to learn, let us know! Submit your desires, we're listening, at http://bit.ly/iwanttolearnsass

If you are a Sass lover, check out the SassCast, a new podcast from Dale Sande. Dale runs the Seattle Sass Meetup. If you want to be interviewed, reach out to Dale. http://sasscast.tumblr.com/

Remember, our meetups are now on a regular schedule: Third Tuesday of each month at Pivotal Labs at 7PM. You can now RSVP for November and December's event.

Stay Sassy,

Claudina Sarahe
