Re: Last Chance to Submit Proposals for Groovy / Grails Conference in the US 2010

Sorry if you are receiving this twice - I don't think this came
through yesterday.

Hello New York Groovy / Grails People,

First of all, we had a great meeting last week - thanks for everybody
who came out. ?Going forward, it looks like we may have found a more
convenient space that I am hoping will become a more regular place for
meetings - I'll email out about that.

In case you haven't heard, the Groovy / Grails / Griffon conference is
being planned in April. ?It will be in Twin Cities, on April 16th.
Currently it's planned to be a one-day conference, though if there is
enough interest, the organizers said they might expand it.

Several things related to the conference:

1. They have a call for speaking proposals that ends soon. ?Submit
proposals here:
2. They also are doing workshops, and are accepting proposals for those as well.
3. This is a pretty grass roots effort, so the organizers are trying
to make this conference as low-cost as possible, so they are looking
for sponsors. ?If your company might be interested, let me know and
I'll connect you with the right people.

It would be great to have a nice New York representation at the
conference. ?As some of you know, I actually live in MN temporarily,
about an hour and a half from Twin Cities, the conference location. If
you are thinking of going, and I can somehow help out, let me know.
