Details

The Narsapur forest (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narsapur,_Medak_district) is 45 KM north from Hyderabad in the Medak district, spread between Gummadidala and Narsapur towns. This forest spans over 30 sq km and has a mini-ghat section, thick forest, a hill, a large lake, a good number of birds, butterflies, varied flora & fauna and our ancestors (monkeys). Lately, this has become a hotspot for Telugu film shootings.

Hike Grade: Easy to Medium (4-5 hours of trekking in the forest)

Things to do: Hike, climb hill and visit the lake

Cost: Rs.150/- ( Car /Bike Pool Extra)

Route: Balanagar - Jeedimatla - Medak Road - Narsapur

Instructions
No smoking. No liquor. No littering.

Only vegetarian food to be carried in lunch boxes

Transport

Car & Bike Pool based on number of trekkers. Members can share the petrol expenses of the respective cars.

Itinerary
6.30 AM: Assemble just before the Central Mall Panjagutta X Road
6.45 AM: Start for Narsapur
8.00 AM: Reach Narsapur HanumanTemple
8.15 AM: Briefing and Introductions
8.30 AM: Hike in the forest
1.30 PM: Lunch & Rest
2.00 PM: Drive to the Narsapur village lake
3.00 PM: Start back to Hyderabad

Things to Bring
Backpack/ duck bag
Fruits/ Vegetables /Chocolates/ Munch bars/ Snacks
Raingear/ Cap/ Umbrella/ Windcheaters (as per the Climate)
Wear only Sport/ Trek shoes and loose tracks
Wear long sleeved T-shirts to avoid injuries from bushes/ shrubs/ thorns
Drinking water - 3 ltrs (there is no water source nearby)
Packed lunch (no hotels nearby)
A mat/ bed sheet for resting
Band-aid/ medications (if any)/ Glucose
Cameras to click Kodak moments
Lots of energy and smiles
