Hello Fellow Art Explorers Group Members,
This is a group for anyone interested in Art in its many forms. It could be going to a museum, art gallery, art festival, historical home, nature walk, movies, concerts, play/musical, or any other form art may take you. We can explore the art scene around the greater Fort Lauderdale area, and from Miami to West Palm beach. I started this group to meet other art lovers and because I had so much fun running a similar group with a friend of mine in Boston for 8 years.
Based on past meetup experience, I found that the best ideas come from the members themselves. So, if you have a place you always wanted to go or want to see it again, let me know and we can plan an event.

Deck the Hulls! Join the Fort Lauderdale Art Explores group on Saturday, December 7th, as take a ride down the New River on the Water Taxi for their "Holiday Lights Tour". Water Taxi Holiday Lights Tour. Departs from Stop #1, on the dock/sidewalk between Stranahan House and Riverside Hotel, 335 SE 6th Ave, Fort Lauderdale. We will meet at 8:00 to get a good spot in line. Boat departs at 8:30 pm and returns around 10:00pm.
They have two types of tickets:
- Holiday Lights Cruise Pass - includes cruise with live music and cash bar. Tickets are $35 before November 1st and $45 after November 1st.
- VIP Captain's Holiday Pass for Holiday Lights Cruise - includes cruise, music and open bar. Tickets are $49 before November 1st and $59 after November 1st.
The cruise sells out, buy your ticket in advance to guarantee a spot.
Parking: Metered parking within walking distance is available at the following locations: 620 East Las Olas Boulevard Garage or street-metered parking on Las Olas or near by side streets.

Come join the Art Explorers group for Sunday Jazz Brunch at Esplanade Park. It is an ideal place to relax and enjoy Fort Lauderdale’s scenic Riverwalk. This free, live outdoor concert series features the Jazz Music on Esplanade Stage. Sunday, January 5th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring chair and your lunch and let's enjoy the music and the sunshine. We will be sitting under the trees on the right side of the circled sidewalk in front of the stage. I suggest getting there 20 - 30 minutes before the concert starts to get a good spot.

Come join the Art Lovers Group as we explore the NSU Art Museum on Saturday February 1st at 11:00 am. One of our members Wayne is a docent at the museum and has generously volunteered to give our group a tour of the exhibits. Check out what is on exhibit at the NSU website. Come join the Art Explorers group as we visit The Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, Saturday, March 1st, 2025. Check out upcoming events one the museum website.Norton Museum. Entrance fee is $18 or $15 (60+) or free for Bank of America Card Holders. There is a tour at noon of the Sorolla and the Sea if we want to join it.
We will grab some lunch afterwards at the museum cafe.Museum Restaurant . Parking is available in the lot across the street from the museum.
