why are you interested in this group?

None of my friends or family read 19th century fiction. I'd like to hear what other people have to say about works from that era. Numerous authors I've read have paid homage to Trollope, so I think it's time I gave him a try. (I like that he only wrote 3 hours before work every morning...stopping after 3 hours on the dot no matter where he was in the story). Joining a group like this would motivate me with a deadline. Also, it would allow me to hear how others responded to a text rather than just discussing the text in my own head.

I am 24, a writer, a waiter, and I live in Hell's Kitchen. I dropped out of economics graduate school to write a novel. I've been trying to crush through as much "serious" literature as I can.
