Weather sure is a funny thing... the one Sunday evening it has to rain is this one. We'd love to offer more night hikes, but scheduling is difficult, and we will certainly try again in '11. In any event, September is a fantastic time of year for day hikes and other great nature programming, and we have plenty of those, including "Park to Park Hike [9/12], Adios Summer Hike [9/18], Monarchs [9/26]. For the wee ones we have Swamp Stories [9/11] and, a special treat for all ages, "The Nature of Sound" [9/11] with The Mighty String Demons and Kaz from Wafoo. This will surely be a September to Remember, and I hope to see many of you at these events, and at a Get to Know the Greenbelt in early 2011. Also, 2011 is the 350th anniversary of Staten Island. What better way to celebrate the borough's natural heritage than by exploring the Greenbelt. As always, find out more about what the Greenbelt has to offer at ?
