Chiringuito o Portinho - Coastal Path loop from A Barreira

Details
This one is following a request by Michael, who is leaving Vigo on Monday, for a hike on the Cangas side. I've changed the original idea, given that the temperature is going to be far too hot for climbing at 31C! It's an easy hike, 8km, desnivel 50m, walking time 2hours. Starting from the Cangas ferry terminal, we will follow the coastline, taking in the As Furnas cave, the Senda Costeira coastal path, and ending up at the Chiringuito Portiño beach where we can enjoy both a swim and a cañita!.
Wear good hiking shoes and light clothing. Bring snacks, plenty of water and towels and beachwear if you fancy a swim. Meet at the ferry point Vigo-Cangas at 10:15 for a 10:30am sailing. Cost is about €2,40 each way, much less with a Galician transport card. Arriving at the Cangas ferry terminal just before 11.00am, the temperature should be still in the mid-20's, suitable for walking. By 4pm it will be 31C, so people can either return on the 3pm ferry or wait until much later (by sundown at 9pm it should have cooled down to 26C!)
Important: If you sign up and change your mind, please cancel no later than 24 hours before the event. I will make my phone number available to participants nearer the time, to receive WhatsApp messages as the Meetup facilty doesn't work on the day.
