GRWebDev Presents Steve Poling: An Introduction to Contract Testing with Pact

Software is a lot different from when I punched holes in paper to get a single execution thread to send "Hello World" to a terminal. At the moment, Microservice Architectures seem to be the best way to create performant software running asynchronously on dozens of processes strewn across hardware on different continents. How do we test this? I'll discuss strategies to effectively test such systems through contract testing using the Pact framework.

Steve Poling is a software engineer with a diverse career spanning more than 30 years. He has tackled everything from speech recognition algorithms to content management to embedded systems. Now retired, Steve works on whatever he finds interesting. These days he finds mathematical, crypto, and fintech software interesting.
