GRWebDev presents Machine Learning Tools: ChatGPT + Midjourney

GRWebDev Powered by LaFleur presents
Machine Learning Tools: ChatGPT + Midjourney
Monday, February 27th 6pm - 8pm

This will be a hybrid event; join us in person or online via Zoom. RSVP on Meetup as a virtual attendee; in-person attendees must register on Eventbrite.

The rise of machine learning has led to the release of online tools that can be used to generate original content. These tools have resulted in not a small amount of controversy as we grapple with numerous questions: how is this content generated? How will it be used? How will it be regulated?

This month at GRWebDev powered by LaFleur, we’ll dive into two such tools: ChatGPT and Midjourney. ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, is designed to mimic human conversation, but can be used to debug code, write song lyrics, or even emulate a Linux operating system. Midjourney, meanwhile, can be used to generate a wide variety of imagery, from product photography to fine art, based on user input.
Charlie Crystle (Crystle Advisors) and Kevin White (EKKO Studio) will give us an overview of these tools and investigate several use cases. We’ll also discuss their limitations and what they might mean for us as creatives.

Join us in-person or virtually on Monday, February 27th 2023 at 6pm EST!

Charlie Crystle is a founder of several startup software companies (with one foray into the packaged organic food business). He's currently building Nudgebase, a publishing platform that enables people to develop passive income from their expertise.

Over his 30-year career, Kevin White has been a forward-thinking expert in design focused on bridging the gaps between design, engineering, and business. Kevin has helped start-ups, non-profits, Fortune 100 companies, and the public sector use design for improving lives and growing business. His values have always been to create memorable experiences while problem-solving and helping others.
