Thank you Ryan. It was a wonderful first hike!! Yes, it did seem long but I got a good work out and lots of fresh air. Good people, good vibes....I look forward to upcoming hikes.

Thanks everyone for hiking yesterday...I'm surprised our route turned out just under 5 miles; it definitely felt like more. Props to those who uploaded pics and stats, and Linda L for sweeping (I don't think she's on Meetup, though).

I scouted this today. The trails weren't bad...lots of mud, but it's mostly drier with some squishy spots near the beginning and end of the route. The expected higher temperatures should dry them out more, but as of now a few showers are forecast before/on Sunday. Bring anything you have to get through mud...poles, boots, etc., and let's hope the trails aren't a sloppy mess for our hike.

Also bring plenty of water and maybe a snack. See you Sunday!

Hey Ryan, What's the distance/estimate of time length for the hike? Thanks and go Yankees!

      April 12, 2014

    • Ryan B.

Hi David...it'll be a bit over 5 miles and should take about 2-2.5 hours depending on the size and pace of our group. Hope you're up for a workout! Won't comment on the Yankees thing.

Darn, I'm so bummed I can't make this hike Ryan. I'm in the Color Vibe Run. I hope to catch your next lead.

Aww, I'm bummed too. Next lead after that is Highland Park/Mt. Hope Cemetery, 5/3 @ 3 pm. Enjoy the run!
