My interest in designing experiences for personal habit development is that it empowers people to match their behavior to their intentions. I think this could add value in clinical settings where patient non compliance is an issue as well as in artistic pursuits and even in the arena of professional development. Finally, I think the potentially social component of such an app could be very helpful and rewarding.

Can you share a 5-minute personal story about a successful habit practice that's lasted longer than 100 days? If so, please give us just a quick synopsis!

Arguably the unhealthiest thing I've consumed for most of my life, diet coke found itself in my body too often. I relied on it for caffeine. Late 2012, I noticed I had managed to avoid drinking it for a week or two. I decided to see how long I could keep it up. I suppose this is more of a habit of not doing something, but I don't consume it any longer!

Hi! I'm currently exploring neuroscience. Personally, when I find a behavior I practice that I do not care for, I actively try to modify it. This tool might transform this tendency from frustrating and possibly futile to effective.
