We are volunteers coming together to make LA better for everyone!
We are a group of designers, developers, product managers, and non-technical community activists. We're both experts and learners, so you can flex your skills or learn new ones while giving back at the same time! Bring a laptop if you have one, but a team will put you to use no matter what your equipment or skills.
Join an existing project team:
* Metro Ontime
* The DOT project (Traffic Demand Management calculator)
* Shared Housing
* 311 data project
* Jobs For Hope
* Criminal Sentencing
Or start your own project around a civic tech idea! All our projects are open source and not for profit.
Please note: At this time, we can’t accept any minor (under the age of 18) without a parent or guardian at any of our Hack for LA events (includes; Downtown LA & Santa Monica Hack Nights). We look forward to creating the infrastructure and processes in order to accept minors without guardianship in the future.
