Subject: [hackshackersnyc] Todd Park's talk live streamed; Get published on Poynter & more

Hello all! A few quick updates before we head into the weekend:
DHHS CTO Todd Park's talk will be live streamed
Today's health innovation and open data presentation by Dept. of Health & Human Services CTO Todd Park is sold out, but it will be live streamed thanks to Health 2.0 NYC.
We expect Todd will begin his talk between 3 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. Hashtags for the event are #hhnyc and #h2nyc for Hacks/Hackers and Health 2.0, respectively.

Get published on Poynter
We've just launched a Hacks/Hackers series on Poynter. Each week Poynter.org will feature a How To on new tools and emerging trends in technology.
So far, we've got three pieces published or in the works:
Know about a cool new trend? Have a tool you can’t live without? Have a sweet trick you want share? Just want to tell us how you got into tech journo tech? We’d love for you to write a piece. Not only will you give back, but you’ll also get a little extra cash.
Interested in being next in the line-up? Contact Beth Davidz at [address removed].

Hacks/Hackers Hacking @ ONA11
Going to the Online News Association annual conference? Wants to be part of a hack day?
That's right! On Sept. 22 Hacks/Hackers is bringing our hackathon magic to Boston with Hacks/Hackers Hacking @ ONA11.
Register now to meet with friends and new friends at the Microsoft NERD Center. You'll get to spend a day fleshing out ideas and creating news-related design improvements, tools, and anything else you can dream up. And you'll get props and post-event publicity for what you produce!
Details can be found at HacksHackers.com.
That's all folks! Enjoy the weekend!
