HamOnt Aces is a growing community for ace (asexual- demisexual- grey asexual-etc folks who do not experience sexual attraction or only experience sexual attraction in certain circumstances/rarely) and/or aro (aromantic- demiromantic-grey romantic- etc folks who do not experience romantic attraction or only experience romantic attraction in certain circumstances/rarely) folks in Hamilton, Ontario and nearby communities to get together and build local community. Hamilton's queer and trans scene is growing, and though it is great to be included in the local community, sometimes it's nice to be with people who share similar experiences.
HamOnt Aces will hold get-togethers such as board game socials, gathering at local parks, having buddies to go to Hamilton's wider queer and trans events with, discussion-based meetups, and so on. I (Aeron- they/them) organized this group in 2015 (formerly Steel City Aces) after finding other aces who were also interested in meeting other ace and aro folks.
