Welcome to Positive Thinkers Toastmasters Club.
Who are we?
Our members include professional communicators, writers, marketers, fundraisers, PR specialists, agency owners, entrepreneurs, engineers and more.
Despite our diverse backgrounds, we share a common goal – to become more polished public speakers. We guarantee you’ll learn a lot. Everyone is welcome. Including you! We welcome anyone who wants to round out his or her professional toolkit and have a great time doing it!
How to join?
1. Drop in as our guest and check us out.
Speeches can cover a wide range of topics, from professional expertise and personal experiences to universal themes and current or historical events. No topic is too big or too small at Headliners; it's all about how you present it! You’ve already missed some great speeches like, "The History of the Fork" (fascinating) and "The Signs of Aging" (hilarious).
2. Tell us in-person that you'd like to join. Our coordinators or Membership facilitator will help you with the next steps.
Where do we meet?
The fun happens on Tuesdays at 7:15 pm. We meet every second Tuesday in Vancouver’s downtown. Meetings are fast-paced, friendly, supportive and follow the Toastmasters International program - a self-paced, learn-by-doing program that helps you build your confidence with each speaking assignment.
Constructive evaluation is the heart of the Toastmasters program, so each time you give a speech or fill a role, an evaluator will point out strengths and suggest improvements, to help you become a better public speaker, planner, and leader.
