Holiday Challenges: Food and Feelings

From: Steve

Given the holiday season is officially here, I wanted to share a resource to help with two of the biggest challenges for many of us this time of year: Food and feelings.

It's no secret the holidays offer tempting treats from Thanksgiving to New Year's that can result in added pounds.

A second challenge is the increased frequency and volatility of negative emotions. The holidays are supposed to be times of joy and good cheer. For many of us they trigger feelings that are anything but joyous.

Tapping Into Joy

Fortunately, we have an easily applied tool available to help release cravings, break mindless eating patterns, and ease negative emotions.

Over last year's holiday season we had about 40 people participate in the pilot "Weight for Wellness" program offered through my company, Stress Solutions, LLC. As part of that initiative, I recorded an eight minute CenterPoint Release (CPR) tapping sequence to help conquer cravings and release negative emotions.

You can apply CPR quickly and easily wherever you are.

You don't have to "tap out loud". It can be done right at the Thanksgiving table and not a soul will know. Simply touch the points casually or imagine touching them as you smile and release.

I encourage you to give CPR a go. Your inner child will smile and so will you.

In addition to the audio guide (links below), you'll find a one-page CPR guide PDF attached.

To listen to the streaming audio, click here: http://www.audioacrobat.com/play/WySJtk0s.

Blessings to all and safe travels for those taking to the highways or the friendly skies over Thanksgiving,

Steve
