Saturday Night Sangha
Originally established in Berkeley in 2008, the Saturday Night Sangha has grown to become a vibrant community that embraces diversity in age, ethnicity and spiritual background. We are a peer-led group of spiritual friends whose members come from a variety of different contemplative traditions. A typical gathering will be facilitated by one of our experienced practitioners. We begin with forty minutes of meditation, followed by a brief talk. We then leave a half-hour for open discussion in order to allow everyone an opportunity to share their views. Often, there evolves a deep resonance of presence in the room, as we listen deeply to one another, and share with open hearts. Once every three months, we hold one kirtan and one party.
We meet from 6pm-7:30pm every Saturday night at the East Bay Healing Collective (1840 Alcatraz Avenue, Berkeley, CA), and often go out for dinner afterward. We are a donation-based group, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. You are warmly invited to attend. No need to RSVP. If you have any questions, email Travis.
