What topic would you like to see discussed at the New York Healthcare Meetups?

Medication adherence

Tell us about your view and contributions (past, present or future) to healthcare innovation

I am the cofounder of AdhereTech ( and I am a graduate of the Blueprint Health summer 2012 class (

What is your company and what do they do. What is your role there?

Unconsumed medication constitutes an approximate $300 billion problem in the US. AdhereTech’s first product is a simple solution to address this issue: a bottle that automatically measures its exact contents in real-time, communicates this data wirelessly, and reminds patients if they forgot to take a prescribed dose – via phone call or text. It increases adherence from ~50% to ~90%. With our smart bottle, patients simply become healthier. Healthier patients allow payers to save costs and providers to decrease redundant work & readmissions. Pharma companies see increased consumption & revenues, and researchers have better data.

What are your goals for joining this group and how can we help you achieve them?

My goal is to meet people who are passionate about the issue of medication adherence.

Please be welcome to list your company or personal website
