Three-Course Meatless Monday Dinner Featuring Seasonal Produce

Ristorante Avanti will be hosting a three-course Meatless Monday dinner on May 19! It will feature seasonal produce, with vegan options available, for $38. Avanti is an amazing restaurant, and it should be a memorable meal!

The event is limited to 20 people. Your prepayment will hold your reservation. When you RSVP, I'll email you instructions on where to send a check made out to the restaurant. The cost is $48.16 per person with tax and tip (drinks are extra - please bring cash on the night of the event).

Multiple meetup groups are attending.

Help the Environment

Eating with friends is fun, and even more fun if you're helping the environment at the same time. Reducing animal product consumption helps to reduce your personal contribution to greenhouse gas emissions and climate forcers, including carbon dioxide, methane, black carbon (soot), nitrous oxide, and tropospheric ozone. Plus, eating more veggies is good for you!

Avoid Pesticides and Toxins

Some chemicals and heavy metals can concentrate in meat when animals are exposed to it, such as in their food. So reducing meat consumption through Meatless Monday can be one way to reduce exposure. For example:

"A recent Harvard study found that increasing saturated fat intake just 5 percent was associated with a 38 percent lower sperm count, but why? It may be because of endocrine-disrupting industrial pollutants that build up in animal fat, particularly fish..."
