Excellent event and glad to hear him in person. Disappointed, however, in the book signing. I know people wanted to talk to him but for those of us who were not fortunate enough to be towards the front of the line, it was very annoying. Don't know how long it took for those towards the rear to get an autograph because I gave up and left. My book still has the great info he gave us even without his autograph.

Absolutely! And at least that time, I won't need to wait an hour and a half for a book signing, haha!

Fantastic presentation! Dr. Greger presented numerous research supporting a plant-based lifestyle in an engaging and often entertaining fashion. He was also very personable and took a great deal of time speaking to individuals while book signing at the conclusion of his program.

Michael Greger is a master at collating information and then tying it together into a message that can be understood whether you are a doctor or a lay person. He explains these complex topics with clarity and humor and a spirit of education. Bravo! Thanks HPOB for another great event!!

Terrific talk. In my opinion, Dr. Greger is the best in explaining the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle.

was very informative and inspiring to 'adjust' my eating habits. i did have a curiosity question about heart disease if anyone can answer...

i did a paper over 10 years ago about how medical examiners/coroners would list the 'cause of death as heart disease' if they did not have any other reasonable explanation for a 'natural' death...does anyone have an input (as this did skew the stats for death of heart disease)?

    again, great event and speaker!

I am no longer able to go to this event. How do I go about cancelling so others can take my place?

    February 19

  • Kimberle S.

A-Live & Healthy Cafe, and Living Abundance Cafe/ Appleseed Health Food, will be providing food for purchase at the Civic Center before this event. They will be serving light vegan eats from 5:00 until 6:30. If you prefer, A-Live & Healthy Cafe, in Merritt Island, will be open until 6pm. We will stop serving at 5:30 at the cafe on Tuesday so our staff will be able to attend the event. If you have further questions please contact me at [masked]

Hi Mike. It says RSVP +2 by my name but I don't see anything to print out. Did you print something out?

      February 18

    • Mike C.

Hi Diana, No, I didn't print anything.

      February 18

  • Lisa

Looking forward to this! Anyone want to meet for dinner ahead of time?

    1 · February 17

  • Silvia B.

Hi Kim, I had signed up to help at this event. Do you need me to be at the Civic center earlier than 6:30 pm

    February 15

    • Kimberle S.

Hi Silvia, Thank you! Yes, we would love to have you there around 5 or 5:30 to help with check in. :)

  • Bill

Can someone recommend a good vegan restaurant in the Cocoa area for dinner Tuesday afternoon?

    1 · February 16

    • Kimberle S.

Hi Bill, A-Live & Healthy Cafe in Merritt Island is full vegan. Appleseed Health Foods in Rockledge, Oasis Mediterranean in Cocoa offer vegan options, Paisley Vegan may be open in Cocoa Village by then. And we are working out the details for having a few things available at the Civic Center before the event. I will be updating here tonight. Thanks, Kim

He's the best! If he can't convince/convert someone, nothing can.

  • Randi B.

I would also like to know if there will be any food there to purchase as his lecture is at dinner time.

    1 · February 15

  • Suzanne H.

Is this a dinner event? At one point I heard there might be a dinner for a price. Is that still the case? If yes, what is the price of the dinner?

  • Ben T.

Kim -- regarding Dr Greger's visit -- is he doing a special, unpublicized visit to our area? The reason I ask is, we do not show up on his list of visited cities. On 2/22 he is in Ft Lauderdale and on 2/24 he is in Palm Harbor, but no mention of our area. Reference: http://www.drgreger.org/speaking-dates

Good question. I have not seen anything about how to register. I will send a message to Kim to see if she knows.

Lori -- according to Kim, if you RSVPd then you are registered!
