Come join us at our Code and Coffee, an opportunity for you to work on your own projects, learn something new, and meet others who share your interests. Bring your laptop, your recent projects, and your programming problems and questions.

This is a great event for people who just want to socialize and for first time attendees. Want to focus on helping others with their projects? You're welcome too! We're very friendly and would love to have you join us. :)

Here is what we will be working on:

Stephanie - Stephanie will be working on Google’s Machine Learning Crash Course using TensorFlow and Python. She would love some study buddies! In between debugging and looking through coursework, she is more than happy to help other people with their projects or discuss technology topics like the future of AI.

Anita - Anita will be reading and learning from Spring In Action to learn the Spring Framework. For anyone working on Java or Spring, you are welcome to join Anita in learning or discussing the Spring Framework. Anita is also happy to discuss what it’s like working as a software engineer in Monterey and how you might be able to jumpstart your career.

Yarely - Yarely will be working on Udemy’s UI & Web Design Course using Adobe Illustrator CC. She has begun this course and will welcome anyone who would like to join her. Yarely is more than happy to discuss what it’s like working as a Web Developer in Salinas and any tech career-related topics.

As a group, we’ll hold each other accountable for completing our projects and provide ongoing support and feedback.

Feel free to come by for the whole thing or drop in when you have time.

Who are we?
herScript was founded by 12 CSUMB Computer Science students who have since graduated and are now working in the industry. Anita Garcia and Yarely Chino were joined by Stephanie Deen, a Monterey transplant, who all decided to launch a community chapter of the group to unite people, particularly women, in the Monterey County area. Their goal is to learn, grow, and share their love of technology throughout the community.
