Join us for Winter Workout Hikes at the CNC on Saturdays!

Stay fit and have fun with these conditioning hikes.   These hikes are for those who desire six or seven miles of  brisk-paced hiking with hills and steps and fields and streams.  One group will hike a 4-mile per hour pace,  and the other groups will hike a slightly less intense pace.  Our goal is to keep moving and provide everyone with a good workout, so there may only be a quick break along the way to change layers or catch a drink.   We hope you join us for these fun, brisk fall morning hikes.

Start Time:  9:00 am - Be stretched and ready to go. Thanks!

What to bring:  Water (be sure you are well-hydrated before the hike and carry water if you need to during the hike),  hiking or trail shoes with good traction, and trekking poles (optional).  Wear layers for comfort.

Restrooms: Located at the Visitor Center and at the Playscape.

Weather:  The hike may be cancelled due to high winds or heavy rain/thunderstorms.  Always be sure to check your email before driving to the CNC to see if any changes have been made to the hike.

RSVPs:   We realize things come up at the last minute, but we ask that you update your RSVP as soon as possible if you can't  join us.  The CNC requires us to keep our hiking groups to 12 or fewer, therefore we need to have an accurate head count to ensure we have enough group leaders.

Admission: There is an $9.00 admission for non-members to get into CNC. If you decide to sign up to be a member, you may apply that amount to your membership.  The trails are well groomed and a nice balance of hills and beauty.  Well worth becoming a member.  ( $40 per year for single membership, $75 for family and $20 for Add-a-guest).

Hello All - please remember to check your email before you head out tomorrow. They are expecting strong winds and I just heard from the CNC that if winds are gusting above 30mph they will not open the nature center. They will let me know no later than 8 am.

Hello hikers! The weather is going to turn much colder and wet for our hike tomorrow. Hopefully the rain will move out before hike time. Please update your RSVP if you are not able to join us. See you on the trails!
