Yoga Dhara

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85435311191?pwd=UXlsODJxbHJDUHg1dmZJbk80ZEdXUT09Perhaps everyone has acquired new habits and mindset on how to live their daily lives and are well-adjusted or not? Yoga should be a part of that new or existing lifestyle, to relax, to stretch, to create that sacred space. Make time and you are invited.
Yoga dhara is a practice that allows movements to kindle sensations throughout the body from the result of gentle and flowing movements and options of natural or pulsing breaths; to untie the knots, to straighten the kinks and to send prana and energy to those crevices that need to wake up. Every part of the body is awakened and stimulated. The beauty of the practice is that, the movements can be repeated half a dozen times or ten minutes at a time to set the length of your practice. It can be used as a warm-up or a practice all of its own. Its origin is from the lineage of Kriya Yoga or sometimes referred to as “loosening exercises”. We seal with pranayama and meditation. This is a friendly practice to all types of bodies and kind to injuries.
Any physical activity has chances of risk to injuries specially if not done properly. Please be aware of your limitations and do not cross your limits. But just like anything in life, “exceptional” does not happen practicing “occasionally”. Come join me and I will guide you.

How – simple – breath – for beginnersNo introduction is necessary. You can mute yourself when you sign in.
Why do we want to meditate? To remove stress! Stress builds fight or flight syndrome that resides on the pre-funnel part of the brain at the back of our head, in our subconscious. When you meditate and bring awareness, the activity is on the front part of your brain and connects the two (front and back) enables you to be on the present and be conscious.
To be conscious, be aware, be mindful. You probably hear this word a lot. What does it mean? Mindfulness is to recall, remind or remember, to focus on one spot. The word is Sati or Smirti, mindfulness.Prepare: When you focus on one thing or object, close your eyes or focus on one spot in the room. Roll your shoulders slowly forward and then slowly back. Repeat twice more and reverse the rotation. Lean your head from side to side, lowering your left ear towards your left shoulder, and your right ear towards your right shoulder. Repeat twice more and reverse. Relax your muscles throughout. Observe your breathing. Notice how your breath flows in and out. Make no effort to change your breathing unless it is irregular, then slow it down. As you rest peacefully, you begin to relax. You are meditating.
Whatever type of breathing works for you, stick to it to build your meditation practice.
