1) If you don't RSVP Yes, we assume that you won't be attending. There is no need to RSVP No unless you're changing a Yes to No.
2) If you do not answer all of the questions, your RSVP will not be registered.
In order to use a Chain Saw on a trail maintenance trip you need to be certified by the USFS. This will be the only certification opportunity in the Twin Cities in 2014.
US Forest Service trainers will once again come down to Bunker Hills Park in Blaine, MN. Sessions are held in the Bunker Hills Archery Center.
Space is limited to 25 participants, so sign up soon. Be sure to answer the questions giving us your full name, contact info: email address & phone #, and organizations (TCHMU, BRTMU, Rovers, etc.) We cannot process your registration without it.
A copy of the Chain Saw and Crosscut Saw Training Course Student's Guidebook is available as a pdf download from the United States Forest Service.
We'll be outside in the afternoon so wear clothing appropriate to the weather, plus leather boots and work gloves. Saws, Hard Hats, Hearing Protection, Eye Protection, and safety Chaps will be provided.
Unless you're familiar with the area, we recommend bringing a bag lunch.
We also urge you to join us for the BRTA Hands On Chain Saw Familiarization Course to be held on Sunday, April 6th. We'll teach you the basics of running a chain saw safely safely and effectively and give you a head's up on what to expect during the USFS Chain Saw Certification process.
