Welcome, and thank you for joining THE LARGEST MEETUP IN THE MIDWEST! Many groups copy us, but we're the original. NIGHT HIKES, SLOW PACED MORNINGS, FULL MOONERS and many others, began with THIS group.
Please respectfully share our events, without copy and paste descriptions. It's not fair to those that volunteer their time scouting locations and doing the homework, to be plagiarized by others.
We've become one of THE LARGEST HIKING MEETUPS WORLDWIDE!... (OUT OF 10,000+ HIKING GROUPS, WE ARE CURRENTLY #100!, and #55 in the US!)... That achievement is because of the fun participation of our members, and the pioneering efforts of our leadership team.

This Meetup caters primarily to the casual hiker that likes to get out and spend a few hours in nature. We generally hike for about two hours at each event, and hit trails all over the Kansas City area, and occasionally the Midwest region. We also do other events unrelated to HIKING, which provide opportunities to get out and enjoy some great areas, music and social gatherings.

By joining and or participating in any way with the KANSAS CITY HIKING: I understand that during my participation in any event or activity organized by the KANSAS CITY HIKING, I may be exposed to risks including, but not limited to, the dangers of serious personal injury, property damage, and death ("Injuries and Damages"). I agree to WAIVE, DISCHARGE CLAIMS, AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY the KANSAS CITY HIKING, its organizers, event hosts and leaders from any and all liability on account of, or in any way resulting from injuries and Damages, in any way connected with the activity. I further agree to Hold Harmless the KANSAS CITY HIKING and leaders from any claims, damages, injuries or losses caused by my own negligence while a participant on the activity. I understand and intend that this assumption of risk and release is binding upon my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, and includes any minors accompanying me on the activity.
If I bring guests to participate in the event, I take full responsibility of the guests and agree to all above terms and conditions.
I have read this document in its entirety, and I freely and voluntarily assume all risks of such Injuries and Damages and notwithstanding such risks, I agree to participate in the activity.
