Time: 8:00am (please be prompt because we will leave by 8:05am)
Who Should Attend: Hikers that aren't afraid of the brisk morning air and are physically capable of hiking 8+ miles.
Hike Description: This will be a semi-timed hike i.e. we will hike together and see how far we can get until we reach too much snow or we run out of time. However, I estimate that we will probably hike approximately 8+ miles roundtrip, maybe more. We will plan to be back at the La Luz parking lot around 1:15pm-ish or so and back at the skating rink around 1:30-ish. We will start at an elevation of 7,040 feet and we will see how far we can get without snowshoes. I'm sure the trail will be icy in spots and traction devices for your boots are required.
Trail Fee: $3.00/car
Traction devices for your boots. I like Microspikes, they are the best.
