Copper Avenue-plus

What: This might be the perfect hike if you have only 70 minutes to invest and are capable of hiking 3.9 miles. It has two cardio-beneficial hills to climb, both of which are followed by a pause and then by flat or mild decline trail; three or four mild inclines, each of which is followed by a flat and decline; and then the final mile or so is perfect for recovery. We pause five times.

Where: At the trail head, at the east end of Copper Avenue. (The map for the trail head might not be accurate. The trail head is easy to find: From Tramway Boulevard, turn east onto Copper, and drive until the road ends.)

Distance: About 3.9 miles.

How long will it take: 65-70 minutes.

Pace: Brisk. 

Parking: Along the street. 

Water: Please carry some.
