Bop to the Top at the OneAmerica Tower Downtown

And now for something completely different...

Last winter some of us from the hiking group decided to give the sport of tower running a try, and we attended the Bop to the Top, a 37-floor stair-climbing race that takes place at the OneAmerica building, with the proceeds going to the Riley Hospital for Children. We had a great time at this event, so we've decided to put this one on the calendar again and everyone is invited. The event is a stair-climbing walk or run (your choice) organized to raise dough for the hospital and can be considered one of our infamous "indoor hikes," or perhaps just a great cardio workout that goes toward a great cause.

Everyone can register as individuals for the race, and more information can be found here. From this site you can get all your questions answered and sign up online. Also, signing up before January 20th allows you to pay the cheaper entry fee.

For anyone who would like to meet us at the event, we'll try to meet up near the check-in area. As usual, we'll be grabbing a bite to eat after the event, this time at Barcelona Tapas, downtown.

Car Pool Info:
Our usual north-side car pool will be meeting along the west side of Broad Ripple High School (1115 Broad Ripple Avenue) in the free parking spots along Compton Street just south of Broad Ripple Avenue. The best places to park are directly beside the high school between Broad Ripple Avenue and 62nd Street. These spots are free on Saturdays and are usually wide open when we meet for the car pool. We'll be leaving at 11am on Saturday.

Hope to see you there,
