Please share info on your favorite hike.

No single favorite, but for close by day trips (after the road melts out) Alta Pk's not too bad. Passing Rachel Lake coming in is nice but the placement of this summit makes a great vantage point for its elevation. For a bit more distance, Mt. Olympus (high point of Oly Peninsula) is a good climb, so long as you're OK with maybe kissing a toenail or two goodbye, if you need to take all that return mileage within a day's time.

What do you do for fun?

I do my best to hit the hills weekly (hike / pack / climb / M-bike), but of course sometimes you need to stay home and pull that tree stump, do some custom wood or metal work ... or just keep the house from falling over. It can all be fun if the attitude is in proper adjustment.

Des Moines area (yet this site insists "it must be Seattle") average, active guy who's worked / played around the Sound and beyond for many years ... checking into a new group, maybe meet some new faces somewhere beyond the perpetual traffic jam.
