Mt Ellinor (5944') may be the most popular hike for folks in the South Sound. Presently, there is some snow on the trail but I don't expect more than a foot of new snow at the summit. There is NO avalanche danger at this time. Forecast is for cloudy weather with possible light rain or snow flurries.
I have climbed this route in all conditions at every time of year. Route finding should NOT be a concern. We will park at the upper trailhead unless snow on the road forces us to park at the lower trailhead. Lunch on the summit. No water along this route so hikers should carry all the water they need for the day.
No guests. You must be a member to participate.
