Last month we were able to plant over 200 trees and plants!This is our last planting of the season, so don't miss out!

If your plans change and you are no longer able to make it, please let us know. We are still recruiting volunteers, so please invite your friends. All volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign our liability waiver, or print out and bring a copy with signature to the event.

When: Friday, March 28th, from 1PM to 4PM.

Location & Directions: E 5370 Highway #3, Shelton, WA 98584. From Olympia, follow I-5 south. Exit onto US-101 at exit number 104. After 6 miles take a slight right to stay on Hwy 101 N (signs for Shelton/Port Angeles). After 11 miles take the exit onto WA-3 N/SE Olympic Hwy S toward Shelton/Bremerton. Continue to follow WA-3 N through downtown Shelton, following signs for WA-3 N. Continue on WA-3 N for 6 miles past Shelton along Oakland Bay and the property will be on your right, just after Ecler Rd. There will be a white CLT EVENT sign on the road.

Transport Options: We have a few seats open for those who would like to carpool from downtown Olympia. Please e-mail me for information. There are no public transit options for this event. Parking: Once on the property, drive over the bridge, past the house and park by the barn.

What to bring: water, work clothes, sun/rain protection, and sturdy, closed-toed shoes. Capitol Land Trust will provide extra water, snacks, and tools (including gloves).

Optional items to bring for your enjoyment include binoculars, plant and bird field guides, a personal camera, and gloves (if you have a preferred pair).

There are bathrooms at the deer creek store and gas station, which is 700 ft down the road from the property entrance, and we will show you how you can walk there safely from the property.
