New Meeting: Fall Creek Hike

From: Lauren
Sent on: Sunday, March 2, 2008, 11:54 AM
Announcing a new meeting for 35ish-65ish Bay Area Hikers, Daytrippers and Playful People!

What: Fall Creek Hike

When: Sunday, March 30, 10:00 AM

Meeting fee: USD1.00 per person

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Who should come: Anyone who would like a nice hike along a creekbed, mostly shaded.

Why: You'll love it because Fall Creek is really beautiful and relaxing. There should be lots of water in it. :)

Meeting Description: Fall creek is very pretty. If you haven't been before - it's not to be missed. No dogs allowed as it's part of the drinking water system for the San Lorenzo Valley. We'll meet at the parking lot about 1/3 mile up from the intersection of Highway 9/Felton Empire and Graham Hill Road. Use the facilities before we get there, because Fall Creek is a watershed and there are no bathroom facilities there. Bring water, there is no drinking water there either, snacks or lunch would be good to bring as we will have a "snacks or lunch" break 1/2 through. We'll go as far as time and energy permit, if you want to stay for the whole thing, be flexible with your plans for later in the day. I ask that people who leave early "buddy up" on the way back. Thanks - Route - it's up and back - maybe a little loop, but mostly up and back. Maybe a sweater, as it can be coolish in the shade. Hiking boots or tennis shoes - it's gravelly and a little hilly. Hope to see you all there! :)
