Mtn. Home to Stinson Beach. 14ish miles

Meet at Mtn. Home for an 9:00  DEPARTURE for a brisk paced, 13ish mile hike.

Tentative route:

Assuming it's not too foggy at the beach, we'll take Matt Davis and Nora to West Point Inn.  Rock Spring Trail to Mountain Theater.  From there we'll go to O'Rourke's Bench, down to the Matt Davis, which we'll take to Stinson Beach for lunch.  We'll return via Steep RavineAlpine and Troop 80.

If it looks too foggy to go to the beach, we'll call an audible, and head up and over the mountain.

Water is available at Stinson Beach.

Bring $$ if you want to buy snacks at the store in Stinson.

As always, all are welcome, but please be prepared for the pace, distance and climbing.

Note, we will DEPART promptly at 9:00.

Fine print on my fast paced hikes: Our pace while moving usually averages around 2.75 mph on the 15ish mile hikes, and 3 mph on the 20+ mile hikes.  We stop for lunch, and usually take another short break or two. We regroup at trail junctions, but take few rest stops. If you like to take frequent breaks, or if you need to stop and rest on climbs, these hikes probably aren't for you. On the other hand, if you like hiking lots of hilly miles at a brisk pace, while taking in some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, please join us. If you aren’t sure you can keep up, but want to try it, please do. We won't abandon you. But, out of courtesy to the rest of the group, please bring a map, and volunteer to take a short cut if you find are struggling to keep up.
