Beginner Wednesday Morning Walk - Mill Creek Ravine

I am a virgin winter walker and have no idea what it will be like to do the Ravine/Sidewalk - so there will be trial & error.

This walk will go ahead in any weather, so be sure to equip yourself appropriately for current conditions, including good sturdy footwear with grippers if it is slippery.

Wednesday Morning Walk: Mill Creek Ravine @ 9:45 a.m., start the walk at 10:00 a.m.

Where: Mill Creek Ravine 68th Ave & 93rd Street Edmonton, AB T6E 0G2

How to find us: We will meet at the picnic tables.

This is a Beginner Slow/Moderate paced walk which will take us south into the Mill Creek ravine on the park trails, then up and out of the ravine and over to 99th Street where we'll have coffee and munchies at the Wild Earth Bakery and then back into the ravine and back to where we started.

The total walk is approximately 8 km; to walk 4 km (one way) will take approximately One Hour & 15 minutes depending on the group.  We break for coffee 30-45 minutes depending, the more people the longer it may take to get beverages, etc.   Your courtesy and patience is appreciated as it's really not fair to the group to be rushed to accommodate one-two people.  If you have a commitment please let your organizer know in advance that you will be leaving the group.

Everyone is welcome, however, if you are a fit and fast walker this group is not for you, unless you are willing to adjust your pace to the group.

Guests and dogs are welcome. All dogs must be leashed and sociable. We walk trails that are shared with other walkers, runners, cyclists, and dogs. Not only are participants responsible for taking precautions for their own safety but are also expected to set good examples.

Note: Even if it's raining let's meet as it can be beautiful by 9:00 and if not we can always go for breakfast instead.
