Lets Meetup and go to P.J. Hoffmaster State Park

we would do the Homestead trail which is 3 miles one way. this can also prepare us for skiing and snowshoeing when the weather changes

    too bad you could not attend this Meetup. In addition to doing the Homestead trail, I climbed all the stairs to the top of the dunes overlook. These stairs place you 200 feet above the dunes. Quite a view. Not chilly either.

    It's 6 miles total. Trail is well marked and beaten down. It may be covered with leaves. I would rate the hike as easy. Remember the trail is also used for cross country skiing. It starts just off the visitor's center

    Hey Pete. I was looking at doing the hike in Ludington, but this one is closer to drive to! What is this trail like? Is it paved through a park? or is it more back woods hiking?
