This moderate hike will take place at West Woods Trails (http://www.westwoodstrails.org), which is a Guilford Land Trust preserve in Guilford. Westwoods has many entrances, but we meet at Sam Hill Road. This is paced for the average person. It is a solid two hour walk involving uphill hiking. We take a significant number of rest/chat breaks.
PLEASE BRING WATER :-)
DIRECTIONS: I-95 exit 57. Travel 1.2 miles east on Route 1, to second stop light, then right on River Street. At the end of the road turn right onto Route 146 (Water Street). After about mile, go right on Sam Hill (just before railroad bridge). The trail entrance with parking is immediately on your left.
If you know the area, you can also come the other way from Stony Creek-- drive East on 146, go under the railroad bridge at the 90 degree turn by the marsh in Guilford, to Sam Hill Road.
