Too late in the week and perhaps still to warm to coordinate a long Georgetown hike.
We will hike for approx 3 hours. There will probably not be any water in the creek, but if there is or the ground is wet we'll have a creek side hike. If it is dry with no water in the creek we will send about half the hike in the hills.
Wear good shoes and bring water for yourself and your dog if you bring one. Feel free to dress like, or just verbally impersonate one of your favorite characters from fiction. If you happen to be a time traveler from the future please bring technologies that we don't have - preferably not weapons, but nanobots to clear the path, sentient drones to carry our packs and watch for snakes, I expect to bring a first aid kit, but a medical tricorder would be helpful.
Directions:From Mopac in NW Austin, head southwest on 360 aka Capital of Texas Hwy. Turn left on Spicewood Springs Rd, and then an immediate right (maybe after 1000 feet) onto Old Spicewood Springs Rd. Dirt parking lot is on the right after maybe another 1000 feet.
Please try to be on time as we leave pretty promptly, and sometimes I don't seem to get calls and my cell goes straight to voice mail.
